Life Story: I come from the same village like most of the other surfing boys. Before we came in contact with SISP nobody was pushing us to go to school. My father is an alcoholic and doesn’t really care about my education, he prefers to see me going fishing. But I have been with SISP for a couple of years now and I really like that school. The teachers say that I’m very clever and that if I study more I can soon go to a private school and work for a better future for myself and my family.

Surf Experience and Motivation:​ I only started surfing two years ago. Varghees took me to the Kovalam Surf Club and taught me to surf. I’m really motivated and won’t miss a single surfing day. The older boys say that I have talent as well, because I progress very fast. I like big waves the best, then we forget about all the other things that surround us. I hope I can become a really good surfer one day, so I try to train as much as possible.
